Chapter 95. Condolences
Jane sat quietly beside Dave on the couch. Out of everyone present in the living room, she was the only one that was less familiar with the deceased so she could not really relate to their pains. Of course, she did feel something, maybe some sadness and worry. She could not help but to feel their pains, each one of them. It seemed a great loss.
For the first time, she had seen Alexander show so much emotion. He was not really crying at the time they had arrived, but his eyes told her he might have been crying before then. They were red and swollen. His expression was extremely sad and she felt genuinely sorry for him.
And Dave, he had been so sad as well. She spent a lot of time consoling him the night he found out about Bob’s dead. She had to force him to eat many a time because he just sat there starring at the food for hours till it got cold.
