Chapter 100. Discreet Conspiracies
Detective Ethan strolled into Maxwell’s building casually, but discreetly looking sideways over his shoulders to see if anyone was watching him. He was dressed in corporate, and looked very different from the uniformed guy such that it was difficult to notice he was the same detective people knew unless on a closer look.
There was no restrictions for him at the entrances of the building. The heavily built men on black that stood at every corner of the office did not make any attempts to stop or question him as he walked.
They were familiar with him. He was a regular guy at the building and a very good friend of their boss as well, which was not expected. The more reason he was conscious of being seen walking into the building.
When he got to Maxwell’s office, the door was opened by one of the men and he walked in. Maxwell was seated behind the well-furnished desk on a call.
