Chapter 133. Unrest

Alex did not sleep throughout the night while Dave and Jane who were with him fell asleep at the early hours of the morning.

He kept pacing around, thinking about his wife fighting for her life in that hospital room. He needed to know what was going on and what the fate of Isabella was. He kept seeing her in his mind’s eye, lying motionlessly in a pool of so much blood.

He kept thinking what would have caused it but he could not come up with anything no matter how much he thought. And the last time he checked, she was looking okay when he left the house only for this to happen. Now he was beating himself for going out in the first place and this happened in her. If only he had been around, he would have known what happened or even tried to stop it.
