“You are still recovering Isabella,” he said. “You should not worry yourself with too much talk.”

“I am not sick father. I am healthy and strong,” Isabella pushed.

“Well then, can we talk about something else?” Ryder insisted. No, he did not want to have that conversation with his daughter. He definitely could not tell her he had been away because he had to get Maxwell for what he did to her. To avoid further questions. She might want to know how he knew and was so sure that Maxwell was the one behind it. Even though Ryder knew the person was whom every other person suspected, but that would not have been enough reason, just suspicion.
