Chapter 70

Everyone waited outside till the doctor was done, no one moving an inch fearing that whenever the doctor came out they were going to miss him.

They watched as the surgery room light went off and they all anticipated the doctor coming out and it was just as they expected some doctors walked out in their surgical scrubs.

"Good evening," one of them greeted the family but most of them were too overwhelmed to answer his greeting.

"Goud even…" Maurice's father was about to reply but Maurice's mother and Hadley's mother broke into his words.

"How is he, doctor?" They both chorused and they shared a pained look before they returned their gaze to the doctors.

"The surgery…went well. He is okay now and he will be waking up soon," the doctor announced.

They all breathed out a sigh of relief after what the doctor said and it was like they were just relieved of a life sentence.
