Chapter 381. Saving Lexcis

Chantel Aeden Revia

"Lexcis? Angel, please. Don't—please don't close your eyes," I pleaded, tears streaming down my face, making my vision blurry.

He seemed weak, extremely fatigued all of a sudden, struggling to keep his eyes open.

"Don't cry," he said, his hand attempting to reach out to me, but he was too weak. I gently took his hand into mine.

"No, Lexcis, stop. Stop moving. You're going to be okay. I promise. You're going to be fine," I assured him desperately.

He couldn't die. He couldn't leave me.

Glancing around the empty road, I searched for a way to get to a hospital or a medic. I needed help. Tightening my hold on his hand, I whispered, "Lexcis, baby, you're going to be okay."

My mind raced with fear and confusion. Why did he look like he was dying? Was it internal? Did his heart stop? I brushed my hand underneath his head, scared to see blood.
