Chapter 46. Marriage Proposal
Two weeks had passed since Willow moved into Veronica’s house. The relationship between Willow and Veronica wasn’t smooth; they seemed to be in a cold war. However, Willow waved the flag of war while Veronica seemed apathetic.
Veronica was too busy with things that didn’t interest Willow at all. Still, Veronica always seemed to be keeping an eye on Willow ever since their argument a few weeks ago in Cypresswood.
Nevertheless, Willow would never give in to Veronica or submit to her. Living in that house was enough for Willow to keep Veronica from gaining control over her or Zoey.
Max approached Willow, sitting in a shady corner of the gazebo. Two glasses of juice were on the table for Willow and Zoey, who were relaxing. Zoey, on the other hand, enjoyed playing tag with Jace. Max’s hand carried a tray with more drinks and a plate of sliced fruit.
“Jace, come here. I brought juice,” Max said.
Jace stopped and turned to Max. “Thanks, Mr. Max. I’m still play
