Chapter 121. Spark of Attraction

Leticia and I were so busy that I didn’t stop walking and doing things until nightfall. The evening was only a few days away, and in my heart, I felt that the moment to face what I feared would soon come.
When we finished, we each went to our own rooms. I decided to take the shortest route and find something to eat to take back to my room; I wanted to rest a little and not attend dinner in the main dining room as I was really exhausted.
“You look terrible,” a voice said, and I saw Chris sitting on one of the railings, staring into space with his legs dangling. I almost had a heart attack when I saw him. If someone pushed him, he’d fall to the ground and hurt himself or maybe die.
“Get down from there,” I replied, covering my eyes so I wouldn’t see that scene. Contrary to what I told him to do, he was standing on the railing, balancing as if he were a jester or something like that who sometimes does acrobatics.
