Chapter 42. Four Sisters

I invited the woman to dinner, along with her sisters; her mother and father did not want to attend. I prepared one of the dining rooms to receive them; I wanted to find out more about the matter.

After doubling the security for my sisters, I sent the invitation so that we could chat while they prepared their rooms. It was another terrible thing, and I was starting to be afraid that the problems would never end. I had to try to cut these evils at the root, but barely, and if I had managed against Rachel.

The matter of the woman locked up still lingered on my list of worries; now that another doctor was attending to her wounds, she was improving greatly. I hoped to be able to speak with her in a couple of days.

As I always did, I started looking and helping to carry the food to the place so that the cooks would not have so much work. Luckily, none of my attackers were there, only the normal employees.
