Chapter 24
Cassandra’s POV
The memories of the moments came flooding back to me:
I ran around with other kids when I spotted a girl sitting in the corner, I immediately ran over to her.
“Why are you sitting here all by yourself?” I asked the cute looking girl who was my age. She just stared at me confused without saying anything, I began to think she was a mute.
“Are you okay?” I went further to ask. She was unusually silent; she still didn’t respond to me. I determined in my heart and made it a goal to get her to talk. I sat beside her, she shifted from me and I drew closer. I talked away to tire her out until she talked, I asked her about everything.
“Why are you talking to me?” she finally said in what we couldn’t even call speech.
“Because you’re alone and wolves stick with wolves, if not why would we be in a pack if we didn’t need each other?” I had no idea what I was saying but I was glad she finally talked back, my efforts weren’t in vain. “Do
