Chapter 16. I Burn for You
Eva woke up early in the morning; she looked around her room, vaguely remembering Edward tucking her into her bed and leaving.
Smiling to herself, she took a quick shower and went downstairs, looking for something to eat. When she reached the kitchen, the smells coming off it made her stomach grumble with hunger. She was sure it couldn’t be Joanna.
She poked her head through the kitchen door and faced a sight she never thought she would see. Edward was cooking while Luca and Sebastian stood close by, grumbling. The looks on the pair’s faces made her laugh out loud. Edward didn’t even turn.
“You knew I was up, right?” she asked, sitting on the chair by the window.
“Of course, we all know when you get up. Your stomach makes such God-awful noises when you get hungry. You do know you can always ask us to bring your food up if you need more sleep. It’s way too early to be up and about.”
