Chapter 18. Sign or Not

Amelia’s POV

Two whole days have passed and still nothing. Two whole days of being tied to a chair, blindfolded and gagged miserably. The only time I was freed from the tight grip of the chair was when my kidnapper brought food.

He was unfamiliar, I was certain I had never seen him before but his features tickled my memory, something about him felt familiar but I couldn’t exactly place a finger on what it was.

He fed me enough to keep me alive and I was too weak to fight back or try to get out of my predicament.

That night, he had left for the day and I wasn’t expecting him to return until the next day, but the door suddenly creaked open and his signature, heavy footsteps began to make their way towards me.
