"I felt something bad when our eyes met. I don't think he's human." Jasmine insisted as she held out her glass and gestured for one of her sisters to pour more water.

"There's something else they say about him..." Mrs. Ladie's youngest daughter said venomously, because she was very jealous of her sister, even though she loved her. "They say he doesn't age. He stays the same at thirty-two."

Jasmine stared at her impatiently.

"That's impossible to hide, isn't it? He's our father's friend. And that friendship must be decades old. If he didn't age, his father would have put him on the stake by now!"

"No, you fool. According to the people who work for him from time to time, he only has relationships with people who know his secret."
