Chapter 10
Aiden drove into his compound exhausted. He stepped out of his car with his tux jacket slung over his shoulder. The last thing he needed right now was worrying about Minka Harris and what she was capable of doing to destroy his relationship with Mira.
He walked into the beige mansion and met his mother in the sitting room. She was standing with her arms folded. She looked as though she’d been waiting for him.
“Hi, mom,” he said. Aiden barely had conversations with her, and it had become worse since he dropped his old bad habits.
“Mrs. Elaine is waiting for you inside,” she said, hugging him.
Aiden heaved a sigh of exhaustion as he thought about doing another therapy session. He’d totally forgotten that he had his therapy session today. He slowly took the stairs.
