Chapter 11
Aiden and Mira went out for lunch to a place that she’d suggested. It’d been three days since they saw each other as he’d been so busy at the company. It’d been three days, too, since Minka had shown up at his office. He didn’t think it necessary to tell Mira about it as that would involve her knowing a lot about the past he so desired to move on from. Besides, he had no intention of being friends with Minka even though his mother had a soft spot for her.
“Aiden?” Mira tapped his hand, and he realized that he hadn’t been attentive since they sat down here to have lunch.
A waitress came to their table and urged them to make an order based on what was on the menu. She seemed familiar. Mira was quick to select something, and Aiden, having no particular food in mind, decided to go with what she wanted.
“I’ll have what she’s having,” he said, looking at the waitress. She seemed familiar.
