Aiden was to have lunch with Mira later in the afternoon. He attended to some of the company’s business partners before leaving the company to pick Mira up at her house. He’d been appointed as the new CEO after his father’s death and had redesigned his father’s office. It was an attempt to become his own man. An escape from the dark side of his father’s personality, which he’d inherited but had subsequently thrown away. He told himself every day that he wasn’t his father and was bent on doing everything his father never did, especially being kind to others.
