Chapter 12. The Devil's Threat
Agneta pinches her forehead when she remembers those ridiculous times, which also makes her want to erase those memories. Davero really has two very different attitudes, and Agneta has been fooled by him. Davero, in his eyes, is a demon that resembles an angel, and Agneta is one of the women who are fascinated by all his tricks.
"Mother!" calls Regan.
"Come here, honey," Agneta said, extending her right hand towards the approaching Regan. "Why have you not fallen asleep yet?"
Agneta stroked Regan's plump cheeks.
"Not sleepy yet," Regan answered innocently, which made Agneta smile. He brought Regan's body to sit on the bar counter because, at that time, Agneta was sitting on a bar stool. At first he wanted to brew hot tea to calm down because of the incident in Devaro's car, but instead he remembered the past that came back.
"You are hungry?" Agneta asked, with Regan shaking her head.
