Chapter 12. Setting Boundaries
The next morning, I wake up groggily and stretch like a cat, finding myself in a strange white room. Where am I? Then, realization slowly dawns on me as I bite my lower lip. Taking my phone from the table, I switch the camera to selfie mode and tame my messed-up hair.
After looking somewhat human, I step outside with my heart racing, a part of me dreading to see Phoenix but also a burning curiosity to see what he looks like in the morning. I hear a knock on the door, and I quickly open it to see an already dressed-up Phoenix.
“Good morning. I will be going now. Mrs Green has prepared breakfast for you, and if you need anything, you can just ask her.” He explains and scurries off without waiting for any reply.
Is he always in a hurry? Just like he had asked me to, I make sure to lock the door of my room and keep the key in the drawer. After a shower and putting on a nice white shirt with black straight pants, I walk out to have breakfast.
