Chapter 20. The Bachelorette Party and a Small Mishap

“What took you so long?” Jenny asks me once I sit down in the passenger seat.

That question itself makes me blush as I just ask her to drive, and she does so while playing the radio on loud.

“You’re insane.”

Jenny sticks out her tongue at me. “I am sexy and fun.”

Jacob and his girlfriend, Ella, joined us as well in their car because our back seat was already filled up. We stopped at rest stops in between to eat or stretch our legs. We reached the cabins by early evening. Phoenix even provided a separate cabin for Jacob and Ella.

“Wow,” I say, looking at our small cabin and the lake outside. “This place is really amazing.”

“Yes, just wait till you see the inside,” Jenny exclaims as we unload our car trunk.

And just like she mentioned - the cabin is even more amazing from the inside. We unpack our bags, and then after a shower, we all settle downstairs to do the barbecue.
