Chapter 21. The Most Anticipated Wedding
The day arrives sooner than expected, and I find myself looking over at my reflection while a number of people are getting me all dolled up. Someone is doing my hair while someone is doing my makeup.
Jenny had gone to the hospital to pick up my grandmother while I was asked to wait patiently in my room. Our wedding is taking place in a very grand five-star hotel, and people are coming from all over - mostly business-related people.
“You’re all done.” The kind woman says, adjusting my veil. “Would you like to see yourself in the mirror?”
I nod my head as she helps me stand and helps me walk toward the dressing table. My eyes widen slightly as I stare at my reflection - almost unable to recognize myself. My gown was mostly laced with long sleeves, delicate lace designs, and a long trail at the back. It was an A-line with the top made entirely of lace.
My hair was done in a low bun with a few fringes delicately falling around my face. The knock on the door draws
