Chapter 22. The Honeymoon
During the drive, Phoenix informs me that we are going to Whitehorse, Yukon, which is far up north of Canada. It is a one-way connected flight, only stopping in Vancouver for two hours. We would reach Yukon by eleven-forty at night, and from the airport, we would go to our resort.
He says that it’s a very private location, so the media won’t be hampering us, and we can enjoy the Canadian views. Jeff drops us in front of the Seattle Tacoma International Airport, helping us unload our bags from the car trunk.
“Enjoy your honeymoon, Mr and Mrs Farrington,” Jeff says.
“Thank you Jeff, you enjoy your holidays too,” Phoenix says.
“Of course.”
Jeff drives off while we step inside the airport, doing all the necessary formalities, and then take a seat, waiting for the plane. Phoenix looks very tired, and for some reason, I have the urge to suggest he rest his head on my shoulder while we wait, and I do.
