Chapter 39. Little Farrington
After our little dancing-in-the-rain session, we decided to head home once we started to shiver. Ben turned the heater on for us when we were in the car, and we both were giggling. He was holding the steering wheel with one hand and was holding onto my hand with the other hand.
“We might end up catching a cold, you know,” I say, rubbing his arm with my free hand.
“Then we can take a sick leave together,” he says, grinning.
“I thought your work was your life.” I tease.
He looks at me and says, “My life is right by my side now. I just want to be right next to you.”
So do I, Benjamin.
But instead of giving him a reply, I end up sneezing.
“God bless you,” he says.
“We need to take a hot shower and drink something warm,” I said, increasing the temperature of the heater with my free hand.
