On the edge of hysterical laughing, she asked, "Could it be... that Adam Hunt is finally in love?"
"Would you shut up?" I got out of bed with a pout, picking up my underpants as I said, "I have no time for that emotional nonsense."
"He calls it 'emotional nonsense,' yet he can't seem to shake her from his thoughts," she joked.
I scowled at her, but it only made her laugh louder.
"Sigh, I guess I should finally settle down too, then," she murmured as she fastened her bra. "That's what my loved ones have been nagging me about. But now I'm an old witch."
"Don't say that about yourself, Hannah," I admonished her.
"Yes, that's the honest truth. You're old, too, but I imagine you could meet someone special, what with your wealth and everything."
