Chapter 5

The cab driver pulled up in front of the gated mansion and the security at the gate let them in as Imani had already informed them she was expecting Edmond. After confirming that he was the one from the description given to them, they opened the gates for them to drive in.

Beautiful flowers and beautiful cars decorated the compound and the mansion itself stood at two storeys. Imani stood at the entrance, leaning on the door and smiling as Edmond alighted the cab, paid the driver and made his way towards her.

"Hello Imani."

"Welcome to my humble abode."

There was nothing humble about this place.

She led him in and the awe continued. Everything in the house reeked of wealth and grandeur and Edmond couldn't stop himself from staring. He had never been inside such a huge and magnificent house before. It was a mansion indeed.

"Feel free to look around, if you like something, tell me and it would be yours."
