Chapter 6
George frowned upon the idea of Edmond visiting Imani at her house. He suspected that she had ulterior motives for inviting him there but was relieved to find out that nothing happened. He continued to earnestly warn his friend to stay away from the woman.
"She looks like trouble and looks like she's going to get you into trouble," he said.
"I'm starting to think you have something against her."
"I don't. I just don't like her aura."
"Who is this woman in particular?" Laura asked.
"She's my friend," Edmond answered.
"Why is George warning you to steer clear of her?"
"It's a long story though, but pay him no mind."
They laughed. George didn't want to dwell on the matter so he just pouted and sipped on his coffee. He wanted them to enjoy their afternoon and not argue about some woman. Joseph brought up a topic and they continued their lighthearted conversation, with a little bit of laughte
