Chapter 253. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong
Just as he was about to speak, the waiter arrived at the table with our order. He placed the burgers down and also a few drinks. He flashed us a smile and then left. It sure did longer than I expected to get our food but I was not complaining though.
This had given Josh and me time to actually talk about some real things.
“Then don’t,” He said quietly, pulling my attention from the food. There was a heaviness in his voice, almost as if he did not want that but that he would be okay with it if that was what I’d choose to do. “No one’s telling you to rush into anything. But Lisa…” His eyes met mine again, holding me in place with their intensity. “You deserve to be happy. Not just complacent, but happy.”
