Chapter 71. Maybe I’m Wrong

Josh looked like me just how I had expected him to look at me, like I had lost my mind. He stared at me for a few seconds before sighing and running his hand through his perfect hair. 

“Lisa…” He began. 

“I know,” I replied in a defeated tone as I sighed. “You think I’m crazy, don’t you?”

He smiled shakily. “I didn’t say you were. It’s just that…” He touched my shoulder and had a look of pity in his eyes that I hated.

“I don’t think that random blonde lady killed your grandmother.” He removed his hand and placed it in his pocket.

I scoffed. “Of course, you won’t believe me. Even I won’t believe myself,” I said in a weak tone. “Let’s join the others.” I tried to walk past him but he stopped me.
