My heart skipped a beat and I found myself breathing more deeply than normally. I peeled the phone from my ear and said to Josh, “Excuse me for a minute, this is important.”

He did not seem to mind and it was not like I was asking for his permission anyway. “Of course,” he replied and gave me a small smile.
