Chapter 76. Feelings

“You don’t believe me, do you?” I locked eyes with the CEO. He was now sitting on the bed, trying to put in his shoes.

He looked absolutely immaculate and he was not even done dressing yet. “You want the truth?”

“Always,” I replied and he chuckled weakly.

“Okay,” He sighed. “I don’t think you slept out there because of a movie or anything close to that. I think that it has something to do with the severed head you talked about on the phone with me last night.”

I breathed out a deep breath and nodded. “Ding ding ding,” I said as I forced a smile. 

“Are you sure that is what you saw?” He asked as he stood to his feet. He was done putting on his shoes and was now trying to wear his jacket.

“Yes, the smell had filled the room too. But when I came back, it was all gone. Literally gone.”
