Chapter 19

Diana got back home feeling so excited. She remembered the smile on Jasmine’s face, and it gave her so much joy. She slumped into a chair as soon as she got in without bothering to take off her shoes.

Her stomach gave a loud rumbling sound that could be heard miles away. “Damn it! I’m so hungry,” she cussed under her breath as she rose to her feet.

She found her way to the kitchen to make dinner, but to her disappointment, the fridge was empty. She signed. She hadn’t had time to go shopping, and one thing was sure – she would have to order her meals for the rest of the week.

She darted out of the kitchen and was about to make an order when she heard a knock on the door.

She paused for a while, wondering who it was as she wasn’t expecting any visitors. “Who’s that?”

“It’s Lucia!”
