Chapter 9

"Thank you, Jillian." Mrs. Rivera said as we finished moving their things. But before hopping in, she reached for something from her bag and fished out a white envelope.

"This is for you."

"Oh, I can't take this."

"You don't even know what it is."

"Uh… a compensation?"

"Of some sort," she replied. "But no. This is only a thank you." She grabbed my arm and placed the envelope on my palm.

"Open it." She said.

I thought it was money but when I opened it, a ticket appeared and some documents for a 'Kahala Hotel & Resort hotel.'

"uhh…"

"My husband co-manages it. You said you wanted to experience something new and unwind in a different place."

"That's true, but I didn't mean to bother you with this."

"You're not bothering anyone." She said. "At least accept this
