She silently dabbed at her eyes with her middle finger before clearing her throat. “Michael visited me today.”
Vanessa was silent for a while. “Oh,” she chuckled. “Has he finally woken up?”
Sasha didn’t fail to notice that in all the people she told about this, she was the only one who still seemed calm and collected. She really is a graceful woman, she thought. Not everything surprises her.
“I don’t know.”
“What did he say?”
“He only asked me to move back into our home and that he will sign the papers after three months.”
“Did he give a reason for that?”
“Said he doesn’t want it to affect his reputation, that he got a divorce while still in a wheelchair, I suppose. He said his doctor said he will walk in three months’ time.”
