Maverick’s POV
The bustling hospital hallway was suddenly consumed by tension as Grant’s fist connected with my face. The impact sent me stumbling backward, and my vision momentarily blurred. I could feel the burning sting on my cheek as I struggled to regain my balance, the shock of the sudden attack reverberating through me.
“What is wrong with you?” I managed to speak, my voice laced with disbelief and pain. “Why are you so angry?”
Grant’s face was contorted with rage, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. The onlookers around us watched in a mixture of shock and curiosity, creating a scene that neither of us wanted to be a part of.
“Why did you send those photos to Taylor?” Grant seethed, his voice filled with venom.
My confusion deepened. “What are you talking about? I didn’t send any photos to anyone,” I replied, still trying to piece together the puzzle of his accusation.
