Lola's POV

His new maid? Their new maid? I think the Moon Goddess is having too much fun with this.

As the Beta, Nathan, led me to the pack house after saying Luna wanted to see me, so many scenarios ran through my head, but this definitely wasn't one of them. 

I should have allowed Lyla to come with me. She wanted to come because she doesn't trust Nathan with me but I told her it wasn't necessary. I regret that decision now.

My eyes found his, and I quickly looked away before he could see the tears in my eyes. I got demoted real quick, from a mate to a maid. The thought sounded funny to me, and I laughed out loud, drawing attention to myself.

"I'm sorry, Luna," I apologized to the beautiful woman, who looked so young with her beautiful Bambi eyes and shoulder-length hair before me. Her eyes crinkled in laughter, and I bowed ny head again.
