When the ambulance arrived, I held onto Alexander tightly while panicking that he would die on my behalf. Whoever did it to him should pay! I promised to avenge what happened to him but it had to wait as I still had a lot of things to do.

When we arrived at the hospital, the lingering scent of other werewolves filled the air, and the last thing I desired was to be discovered in my current condition. I couldn’t afford any mistakes especially when Alice and the others were not aware where I was.
