Chapter 126. Something's Wrong with Jake
Leah’s POV
I stood there, looking at her. Like I said, I could see that she was being genuine. She really did feel bad for what her parents did. But feeling bad was not going to change it. And it was not like I did not betray them just a few hours ago.
“Sasha, I said it’s fine,” I said to her as I hooked some of my hair behind my ears.
She released a sigh. “Alright, if you say so.” She turned to leave but then stopped in her tracks. She turned back to me and lowered her voice, “Not because they betrayed you and did not make good on their promise, does it mean that you get to do the same.”
“What are you talking about?” I asked, but I knew very well what she was talking about. My heart was already thumping in my chest. Did she know? Did she know that I had already told Rafael and his family what her parents had told me not to tell a single soul?
She pursed her lips for a few seconds and then ran her hand through her hair
