Chapter 130. My Stalker
Leah’s POV
I was freaking out, I know. I was freaking out and I did not know how to stop that. I needed to calm down. I needed to breathe. I needed to focus on saving this man’s life and I needed to get out of my head or I was going to regret this for the rest of my life.
The man on the phone spoke gently, but firmly. “Leah, I understand. I know you’re scared. But right now, you're the only one there who can help him. We need to know if he’s still breathing so we can guide you on what to do next.”
The man’s voice helped me to calm down a bit, it made me focus more on what was happening. It pulled me out of my head a bit, but I felt like I needed more of that.
I pressed the heel of my palm to my forehead, squeezing my eyes shut for a moment. “Focus, Leah,” I said to myself over and over, more tears escaping my eyes even though they were closed.
