Chapter 15. Blending In
Leah’s POV
The woman was serious, and I could tell by just the tone of her voice. I could feel my heart racing and I felt like I was drowning.
But I kept myself steady.
That meant that I was not the first girl who had been kidnapped to be with their son before. This was not a new thing. This was something that had happened literally three times.
I was making it the fourth time.
That also meant that I could be easily replaced and discarded as if I was nothing. So I really needed to play my cards well. I needed to be very careful and listen to everything that Jules was advising me to do.
“Let’s just hope she’s the right one, I’m done trying to look for my soulmate.” It was Rafael speaking now.
“I know, honey,” his mom replied, touching his face gently and rubbing her thumb against his skin for a few seconds before pulling away. “But we did our research on her. Leah…she’s the one. I can feel it.”
