Chapter 23. Going Out

Leah’s POV

My heart started to slow down to its normal pace as I peeled myself from the bed. I had an hour to get ready. That seemed like a lot of time, but in reality, it was not. Especially when I was already feeling this way. 

What way was I feeling? I was starting to feel depressed and very anxious. I hated the feeling but there was nothing that I could do about it. At least this time, I knew what was causing me to feel this way. 

When I was on my feet, I dragged the duvet to the floor and then proceeded to make the bed. After I was done, I headed to the bathroom and turned on the water. I looked at my reflection in the mirror after removing my clothes, and I could see that the injuries on my body were now healing very nicely. 

They were better than how they looked yesterday. The bruises were fading and everything. My eyes soon landed on the bandage on my nose. I had not been careful about it. I had showered with it and eve
