Chapter 24. The Restaurant
Leah’s POV
It was going to be hard to do what she was asking me, but I was going to try, I guess.
I wanted to make sure that she was happy. The happier she was, the less likely it was going to be for her to hit me, or do worse.
I adjusted myself in the car and tried to do what she had told me but from the look of disappointment and amusement on the woman’s face, I knew that I was failing badly at that.
“You will get it, just keep trying,” she chuckled the words out before sighing and peeling her attention off me.
She was now staring out the window. I decided to do the same, but looking from my side of the car.
The place was beautiful. It was different from America but it was a lovely place. It could even be somewhere that I would have loved to visit if I had not been kidnapped and brought here.
Now my view and experience of the place was just bitter.
