Leah’s POV
I stared at her and I immediately knew what she was talking about. But no. Absolutely no. I mean, I’m not going to say that I have never thought about that since I came here, but that was something that I was not going to do.
Doing that erased any possibility of me getting out of here and returning to my family. So yeah, no. I was not going to do that, or even try to do it.
“You have nothing to worry about,” I replied to Wendy. “I intend to keep trying to get out of here. I’m not giving up anytime soon.”
She nodded, releasing the small bottle of pills. “Three times a day, do not exceed three. This sh*t can get you addicted. Do you understand me?”
I nodded, taking her words in. “I do.” I now had the bottle in my hand. I held it tight and then got off the table, standing to my feet.
She maintained eye contact with me, almost as if she was trying to figure out if I was lying or trying to fool
