Chapter 69. Sasha’s Backstory

Leah’s POV

I stood there, trying to wrap my head around what the woman had just told me. Was she being serious right now? Maybe I had heard her wrong. I had to, because what else would be the excuse for what I had just heard her say? 

“Um…I don’t think that I got you right. Did you just say that you don’t care if I was kidnapped or not?” 

The woman stood to her feet and then smiled. “I don’t, Leah. You are not my responsibility. I don’t answer to the students, I answer to their parents. And I have already contacted Rafael’s parents and I have been filled out concerning your situation. You are not going anywhere, Leah.”

I scoffed faintly, still not able to wrap my head around all of this. These people had connections, and there was really no escaping for me. There was no getting out. So the only plan or light at the end of the tunnel was the plan that Kate had, and the one that I had of getting Rafael to fall in love with me.
