“Theodore!”

A voice just came in from nowhere and interrupted the quiet moment we were about to have and we broke apart like guilty teenagers caught in a stolen moment.

“Oh... did I interrupt?”

Guess who it was? No one else but Iris.

I rolled my eyes. She was the very reason I even wanted to leave Theodore and this pack in the first place.

“I need you, Theodore, I—” Iris started, moving closer.

“What’s that?” Theodore asked, turning toward her.

He just turned completely to face her, ignoring me and the moment we were even about to have.

And for a minute, I even thought he would be mad at her for interrupting us or for not even knocking. But he didn’t.

He acted like we were the one who was even doing something wrong.

I watched him. I watched how he shifted, how his attention tilted like it always did when she was around.
