Chapter 135. Encounter
Milo’s POV
I felt sick to my stomach, what had I landed my Dad in? With such a vague message, I wasn’t sure how to feel about whatever he had up his sleeve.
Watching Freya leave the bar, she turned right down the street which head into the town center. At this point of the day, the sun was setting and the nightlife was beginning to stir. Bars down the street were beginning to turn on their exterior lights to lure customers inside, and I hoped Freya would manage to stay safe on her own.
“Alright, let’s pack up for the day,” I said toward the workmen who had spent an entire day on the bar. “You’ve worked really hard today,” I said with a smile. “Expect a bonus in your pay packet this month.”
