Chapter 138. Down the Alley
Rufus’s POV
Running down the street, continuing to dodge people enough so my pace wasn’t slowed down, I eventually found the bar Freya was in. I recognized the interior from the visions I saw through Freya’s eyes. After inspecting through the window, I was satisfied this was definitely the right bar, so I pushed my way through the door.
“Hey! Watch out!” A man cried as I caught his shoulder as I barged through. “No need to be so rude, mate.”
“Sorry Pal,” I grunted in return, not making any eye contact with him. I had to get to Freya before it was too late. Inside, I scoured the room, looking at every face until I recognized Freya. It was full of people I didn’t care about, I couldn’t care less about these people who were out to get drunk and loud. I just wanted my wife to know she was alive and safe.
It was then I caught her scent again, and I began to follow that familiar sweet trail.
