Adelaide's POV

The front door suddenly flung open from the outside, just as I was ready to bolt, and I ran into someone. I was caught by the person before I could fall to the ground. I broke down in this man's arms because I was so overwhelmed with feelings. 

"What is wrong? It is okay, dear. Is something the matter?" The man tried to ask me questions, but all I could manage was tears. 

I heard a woman's voice ask, "Logan, what is happening over there?" as she approached the man I was sobbing on. She did not sound jealous just overly concerned .In my opinion, they are mates, if I had to guess.

The man abruptly shoved the woman and me behind him as soon as I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. "What is happening here?" Whoever was coming down the stairs was drowned out by the man's loud speech. I was astounded to learn that his voice had power. This was the previous Alpha. They were Denzel's parents 

"Mom and Dad. This
