I couldn’t believe or even comprehend what, or who I was looking at. I gazed at his figure, tears welling up in my throat. He placed a hand to his lips, signalling for me to lower the sound of my sobs, due to how the whole room echoed.

I watched, my heart filled with an immense amount of joy, as Blair undid the locks on the cell. Once the bars swung open, I crawled out, ignoring the pain that was all over my injured body. Blair took my hand, and helped me not my feet. My vision blurred as tears began to pour out, and I couldn’t hide my sobs anymore.

“Gosh, I thought I’d never see you again,” Blair whispered as his eyes glistened with tears.

He enveloped me in a tight hug, and I wrapped my bruised hands around him. The feel of his body against mine felt new to me and his scent calmed me down. I had missed this, and it all felt surreal. Was he really here with me? Was I hallucinating him because of how desperate I had been to esca
