Chapter 11. Past and Regrets
“You seem preoccupied with something, brother. What’s the problem?” Dylan’s older brother, Kylian, inquired as he sat near Dylan. Dylan had been quiet since the day he excused himself in the middle of their discussion because he had a more pressing concern than the meeting.
Dylan appeared concerned after that, deep in thought about something. He would get up, dress up, go to events, and work at home, but he appeared depressed and soulless. Kylian couldn’t take seeing his brother act like this; he wanted to corner him and force Dylan to confess what was causing his mood change and conduct as if the world didn’t revolve around him any longer.
“Nothing. I’ve just been exhausted the last few days.” Kylian didn’t like what he heard. Dylan didn’t sigh after that; he replied as if it was the genuine reason. So Kylian sprinted, leveling his head at his brother, arching an inquisitive brow and his kin eyes so wide that even a criminal couldn’t spew any alibis.
