Chapter 16. Longing

“What do you need here?” Edmund asked coldly.

Instead of answering, Lucas barged in. He intended to interrogate and intimidate Edmund inside. But when he sat on the sofa, his gaze fell on the long strands of hair wrapped in transparent plastic.

Noticing Lucas’s gaze, Edmund’s body stiffened. He quickly hung up the phone and walked toward the table. Unfortunately, before he could reach the sample hair, Lucas grabbed it first.

“What’s this? You secretly took my daughter’s hair? What’s your purpose, hmm? You really intend to take my wife and child away!” Lucas shouted, eyes wide.

Edmund’s jaw tightened. He had already been fed up with Lucas since their first meeting. Now, after that loud accusation, his anger intensified and became barely controllable.

“How dare you call Sky your daughter?” Lucas flinch
