Chapter 15. A Jealous Father

“Then feed me first.” Sky handed her fork to Edmund. The man greeted her idea with a bright smile. “Be careful. Just bite the meat.”

However, Sky devoured the steak pieces quickly. While chewing, she frowned. “It tastes the same. You tricked me.”

“Or… could it be that you don’t love me?” Edmund raised an eyebrow. His tone was quite provoking.

“You’re my friend. How could I not love you? Moreover, you have been nice to me.”

Edmund never knew that he could feel sad and happy at the same time. “Is it true? Well then, try again. Eat with your eyes closed. Chew well.”

Sky accepted the steak without suspicion. She didn’t know that Edmund was on a mission of penance. The man felt guilty that he could only now feed his daughter.

“How? Is it more delicious?”
